During this practical course you will learn the correct use of tools to construct a variety of commonly used joints such as a mortice and tennon joint, corner leg joints, etc.  In order to practice your joints, you will be tasked with projects to complete.
You will erect a section of stud partitioning, fix a door frame to the partitioning, make and fit a door, hang it on hinges to the frame and cut in a lock. You will also learn how to repair existing doors, cut and fit a skirting board and architrave.
This course focuses on the mastery of hand tools, such as chisels and planes, where practical skill is emphasised rather than theory.
